You won’t find it in the Guinness Book of World Records, but Andre the Giant holds the world record for the largest number of beers consumed in a single sitting. These were standard 12-ounce bottles of beer, nothing fancy, but during a six-hour period Andre drank 119 of them. It was one of the few times Andre got drunk enough to pass out, which he did in a hallway at his hotel. His companions, quite drunk themselves, couldn’t move the big man. Fearing trouble with cops, they stole a piano cover from the lounge and draped it over Andre’s inert form. He slept peacefully until morning, unmolested by anyone. Perhaps the hotel people thought he was a piece of furniture.
Think about it: 119 beers in six hours. That’s a beer every three minutes, non stop. That’s beyond epic. It’s beyond the ken of mortal men. It’s god-like.

firstly - best wishes to jonas. hope things work out for your friend.
secondly - mid nineties. we're all sick of hip-hop this hip-hop that. i was dreaming up some post about the state of things, but then i remembered that its not my place - i couldn't care less about current rap dudes these days. skills. the game. flow.. lyrical smokation. what a bunch of egghead shit.
i just discovered podcasts. i still don't understand why they are legal and all is gravy, but i'm fiending for em. anyone else looking for mixes of stuff made up til the mid-nineties, have a look at http://www.fatlacesradio.com . these guys do a weekly show - try mix number 5 for a good overview of what they play. theres about 50 all up, all hosted and available for download.
whats everyone else listening to these days? and any other good mix sites? i also like beatsinspace.net for hour long mixes..

so one of the blog's friends is in need of assistance, she is currently going through a divorce and over christmas/new years spent all of her time in hospital having brain surgery (for real) after stress mixed with an undiagnosed condition caused a bleed on her brain... so yeah it was a less than joyful time.
anyway she is out of the hospital now with a few weeks up her sleeve until the docs decide what the next step is (so far it looks to be some pretty invasive action) but she has just got the lease on a house for her and her family who have all come here from OS to be by her side and she is need of some household items.
so if anyone has got some of the stuff below which they no longer want or need please hit me up through the blog.
cheers guys,
rdj
